
Pablo Hernández de Cos
Pablo Hernández de Cos is Governor of the Bank of Spain and, as such, is a member of the Governing Council and the General Council of the European Central Bank. He is also Chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS). As well as Chairman of the Technical Advisory Committee (ATC) and member of the Steering Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) and is a member of the Group of Governors and Supervisory Heads and of the Advisory Council of the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). In addition, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Macroprudential Authority Financial Stability Council (AMCESFI).
He has a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, a degree in Economic and Business Science from CUNEF and a Law degree from UNED.
